SHPO Survey & Planning Grants

The Connecticut State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) offers Survey and Planning Grants for a variety of historic preservation planning purposes. These grants are part of a state commitment to provide increased funding for open space, farmland preservation, historic preservation and affordable housing. SHPO is now accepting Survey and Planning
Grant applications for State Fiscal Year 2026 (July 1, 2025-June 30 2026). There will be $480,000 available and grant awards will range from $5,000-$20,000.

Connecticut Conservation Partnership Program (CCPP)

Administered by the Connecticut Land Conservation Council (CLCC), CCPP has established a coordinated process by which land trust applicants to the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) Open Space and Watershed Land Acquisition Grant Program (OSWA) may apply for a federal grant as a source of match funds.
