On October 28, following the 4th Annual Long Island Sound Coastal Resilience Forum held on October 27, communities were brought together again for the Long Island Sound Coastal Resilience Field Trip Tour for more opportunities to connect, learn, and be inspired in the field. Participants spent the day on a guided bus tour of 3 project sites focused on the Patchogue Shorefront Park Living Shoreline, Cedarmere Preserve Invasive Species Management and Green Infrastructure projects, and Sands Point Preserve Bluff Stabilization project.

The event was hosted by Long Island Sound Partnership and New York Sea Grant, in partnership with Nassau and Suffolk County Soil and Water Conservation Districts. The event was made possible by our field trip site hosts – Village of Patchogue, Friends of Cedarmere, and the Sands Point Preserve Conservancy.
