FY24 FEMA Flood Mitigation Assistance Grant Program – Connecticut

The Flood Mitigation Assistance (FMA) is an annual Hazard Mitigation Grant Program that provides funds for projects to reduce or eliminate risk of flood damage to buildings that are insured under the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP).

All sub-applications must be submitted to the Connecticut Division of Emergency Management and Homeland Security (CT DEMHS) via the FEMA GO system no later than July 17, 2026.

Additional Information:
Eligible Federal Activities include: 1) Community Flood Mitigation Projects; 2) Plans that focus on reducing impacts of flooding (max of $25,000 per local plan); 3) Mitigation of Severe Repetitive Loss (SRL) properties as defined by FEMA; 4) Mitigation of Repetitive Loss (RL) properties as defined by FEMA. Sub-applicants must have a FEMA approved Hazard Mitigation Plan in place
