The New York Community Trust: New York City Ongoing Competitive Grants

The New York Community Trust, which brings together the New York Community Trust, The Long Island Community Foundation, and Westchester Community Foundation offers competitive grants to nonprofits to support projects in a number of areas across New York City, Westchester, Long Island and beyond. For work in New York City, proposals are accepted from nonprofits anytime through the ongoing competitive grants proposal process.

Frequency Details: Rolling - In general, you may submit a proposal anytime to our New York City competitive grants program through the Grantseeker Portal. The dates below indicate when applicants can expect a decision on their grant application. Please note that these are NOT due dates. Grant applications received in the Grants Portal by: • Second Tuesday in February - Decision notification sent by email no later than end October of the same year, • Second Tuesday in May - Decision notification sent by email no later than end of December of the same year, • Second Tuesday in September- Decision notification sent by email no later than End of March of the following year.
