Long Island Sound River Restoration Network (RRN) Connecticut Municipalities & Agencies Convening

May 28 @ 9:00am – 4:00pm

**Invite Only. Please reach out for details and registration information if you would like to attend.**

The Long Island Sound River Restoration Network is a network of Connecticut and New York-based organizations dedicated to the restoration and health of our region’s rivers. This event will bring together municipalities, state agencies, and NGO partners from across the Long Island Sound Watershed for a full day of connection and problem-solving focused on accelerating the shared work of restoring rivers and improving community resilience through dam removal and culvert replacement/right-sizing. Through case studies, breakout discussions, and collaborative problem-solving, participants will dig into common challenges like permitting, funding, capacity, and coordination, and will work together to identify practical ways to streamline processes and move projects forward. Attendees will leave with new tools, stronger partnerships, and clear next steps to help improve ecological and community resilience through stream barrier removal. If you are interested in joining us for a day of discussion, strategizing, learning, and networking, please reach out to Sarah (sarah.schechter@uconn.edu) or Deb (deb.abibou@uconn.edu) for more details and registration information. Space is limited!
