The Long Island Sound Partnership and Connecticut Sea Grant Sustainable and Resilient Communities (SRC) team hosted the 3rd Annual Connecticut SRC Funding Workshop on March 31, 2026 at Gateway Community College in New Haven, CT. The workshop brought together those interested in planning and implementing sustainability and resilience-focused projects in their communities with organizations providing technical and financial support for such activities. Attendees heard from program officers representing 26 local, state, and Long Island Sound opportunities and were able to learn about ways to improve their funding applications and engage in roundtable discussions to explore projects ideas. The workshop also featured a panel discussion where successful awardees (Town of Groton, City of Norwalk, and Southwest Conservation District) shared their funding strategies and experiences.
